THE CARROT EXPERIENCE!
WELCOME!
Ladies and gentlemen! Dwarfers! Avid horticulturalists! Welcome to The Carrot Experience, the officially unofficial web site of the Aigburth Arms DJ2000 trip.
Between the 10th and the 12th of November 2000, hundreds of fans descended upon the Heathrow Park Hotel in London for the annual Red Dwarf convention. Among them, were a group of individuals from such diverse locations as Virginia, New York, Manchester, Belfast, Milwaukee and New Jersey, who left in their wake a trail of chaos and bewilderment. Well, some of them did anyway. Their collective title is Carrotists. Their collective noun is confusion. The mission of these people was the mystification of everyone they came into contact with.......and meeting Chris Barrie (although that second part of the mission was obviously not the principal objective for the two men in our party:-)). But as for the rest, they succeeded spectacularly, and this site contains their story.
Before we move on - a few words of thanks are in order:
Firstly, we'd like to thank the members of the Red Dwarf Fan Club for all their help and assistance, and for organising such a fantastic weekend in the first place.
Special thanks to The Noble Skutter for supplying all the photographs you will see on this site! Thanks pet - trust you to be the only one sufficiently organised to have your photos developed *and* scanned within a week of arriving home:-)
Thanks also to Dennis The Doughnut Boy, Skutter and Arlene Rimmsky for their excellent accounts of the weekend.
And finally - we'd like to extend our overwhelming gratitude to the Red Dwarf cast, for demonstrating such admirable tolerance n the face of our relentless peculiarity. Sorry about the Carrots. We couldn't help it.
HAIL TO THE CARROT!!!
